Job Description
Direct Client Therapy
- Work with children with behavioral/communication disorders, utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Instruct students using variety of modalities including but not limited to Discrete Trial Training, Incidental Teaching, Applied Verbal Behavior, Natural Environment Teaching, and manual guidance.
- Reliably and consistently deliver ABA therapy according to the schedule arranged with family
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plan provided by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Implement Skill Acquisition Programming provided by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Attend Clinic/Team Meeting
- Create a positive, energetic and creative learning environment for client

Organizational Duties
- Initial and give times of therapy on sign-in calendar for purposes of verifying sessions as per insurance guidelines and for records in event on an audit by funding sources
- Call BCBA and family in the event of absence
- Call other team members to arrange coverage in event of an absence
- Follow up with ABLG home office, BCBA, and family calls and emails within 24 hours
- Proactively report any issues in the home or program to Coordinating BCBA.
- Complete and send invoices on schedule recommended by ABLG for billing needs
- Implement treatment plans and programs developed by the supervising BCBA
- Utilize Rethink Software
- Participate in ongoing in-service training as assigned by direct supervisor and staff
- Must possess strong clinical skills
- Provides meaningful, career-related work experience
Program Book Maintenance
- Follow best practice graphing protocols as described in Clinical Requirements
- When client has mastered a target, neatly mark on target list and pretest next target
- Check off/initial each program run on the Program Checklist
- Collect trial-by-trial data for each program, each session.
- Graph data daily and connect data paths with a ruler as per best practice guidelines
Behavior Reduction
- Respond to maladaptive behavior utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
Skill Acquisition
- Be familiar with Custom Teaching Plan written by BCBA
- Implement procedures that have been established for the learner, as written in child’s Custom teaching Plan
- Carry out Skill Acquisition Programs
- Utilize the client’s motivational system
- Conduct regular preference assessments as per Custom Teaching Plan
- Attend training and observation sessions with the BCBA
- Should possess past in-home ABA therapy
- Establishes & maintains therapeutic relationship by pairing self as a reinforcing entity and building the value for the client of social interaction with the ABA Therapist
- Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills
- Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding
- Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations)
- Accurately collects behavior data including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval based recording
- Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation
- Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment
- Educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and functions within the boundaries of the ABA
- Therapist role in providing treatment
- Reassessment as appropriate
Experience, Education Credentials
- Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst
- Certification Board (BACB) or must be willing to go for RBT Training provided by ABLG.
- Professional Liability Insurance required
- Attendance at agency monthly staff meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned/required

- Submission of all paperwork in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all shared verbal and written information gathered according to agency policy.
