Home and Community Based ABA Therapy

Did you know that Applied Behavior Analysis isn’t just for problem behavior? Above and Beyond Learning Group can help your learner develop a wide range of skills, from language to turn taking to stranger danger.

ABLG partners with motivated families to make major changes on the home front! Need help teaching safety skills, having successful community outings, or looking for support teaching hygiene skills? ABLG can help.

Home-based therapy utilizing the principles of ABA addresses a wide range of behavior. We design home programs to include skills in the areas of safety, self-care, play and leisure, social skills, and many other domains. Home-based ABA therapy can include teaching behavior required for successful community outings as well.

Most of our families access their home program through their insurance plan or through their school district ~ give us a call and we’ll help you figure out how to fund your program.

ABA Shadow in Daycare/School Setting

A trained shadow in ABA will provide support to facilitate language, social skills, and pro-learning behavior in day care and school settings. Data collection and guidance from a behavior specialist are essential components of our shadowing services.


Parent Coaching Bootcamp

Looking to learn how to manage your child’s behavior and promote skills that lead to a more harmonious household? Parent Coaching Bootcamp is a 3-month intensive program for hands-on parents who want to learn the tools to use over and over again when tackling behavior at home.

Parent Coaching Bootcamp consists of online learning paired with in-person visits by an ABLG Parent Coach.

Most people don’t need more information, they need help putting what they already know into practice. Our Parent Coaching Bootcamp is designed to address knowledge AND implementation so you have the skills you need to problem solve on your own.

This customized approach can be funded privately, through insurance, or subsidized through your district. Contact us for more information.

As a state-approved agency (clinic code 03 6003 320), ABLG provides a wide range of consultation services to school districts including:

  • Full- and Part- Time Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Functional Behavior Assessment/Functional Analysis
  • Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS)
  • Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP)

  • 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in the home

Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Functional Analysis (FA)

Looking for some answers? An ABLG BCBA will observe the client in the home, school, and/or community to establish a function of maladaptive behavior. An FBA may include:

  • Functional Assessment Interview of family and direct care providers
  • Direct Observation of client
  • Analysis of Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence data
  • Motivational Assessment Scales completed by caregivers
  • Summary Report
  • Functional Analysis to directly manipulate conditions
  • …and may include recommendations and behavior plan if requested

Speech Therapy

Our Speech-Language Pathologists use a collaborative approach to intervention. By seeking input from parents and family, teachers, and other specialists, the most effective treatment plan for your child is collectively designed. Services can be delivered in one or more of the following ways, depending on the needs of your child.

Most of our families access their speech services through their out of network insurance benefits or school district. Give us a call and we’ll help you figure out funding.
